The PTCH Podcast is a health and performance podcast hosted by two clinicians who spend a lot of time saying, “That sounds confident… but is it actually true?”

The show is co-hosted by Jason Young, DC, a chiropractor, and Kathy Lynch, DPT, a physical therapist. Between the two of us, we’ve spent decades treating patients, working with athletes, and watching good ideas get oversimplified—or flat-out misused—once they hit the internet. The PTCH exists to slow that process down.

The name is a play on our professions, but the goal goes way beyond titles. This show is about evidence-based care, honest uncertainty, and better conversations about health. We talk pain, rehab, strength training, recovery, mindset, medical myths, healthcare systems, and why so much advice sounds authoritative while quietly ignoring context.

Our format is simple: real conversations. We challenge each other. We steelman opposing views. We look at what the research actually says—and what it doesn’t. Sometimes that means debunking popular health claims. Sometimes it means admitting the data is messy and the answer is “it depends.” That’s not a flaw. That’s reality.

We also bring on guests—athletes, clinicians, researchers, coaches, and everyday people with compelling health journeys—to widen the lens. Expertise matters. Experience matters. Neither one gets a free pass.

The tone is smart, approachable, and occasionally sarcastic. We take the science seriously, but not ourselves. There are no gurus here, no miracle fixes, and no pretending that one profession has all the answers. The best outcomes happen when patients are informed, providers collaborate, and curiosity beats dogma.
