Running bit
Trigger Warning (The Game)
A recurring segment where the hosts hurl health myths at each other and try to provoke a passionate rant — all within five seconds.
The game debuted in the pilot episode and recurs throughout the series. The rules are simple: one host throws out a phrase, myth, or piece of bad health advice. The other has five seconds to respond without saying “that’s dumb,” punting, or passing. If they go over five seconds — they’ve been triggered — the other host gets a point.
Prompts from the pilot episode include: “Three sets of ten,” “I don’t need to go to a physical therapist, I’ve got YouTube,” “You only became a PT because you couldn’t get into chiropractic school,” “Personal trainers are basically the same as PTs,” “Once you start seeing a chiropractor you have to go forever,” and “Can I just fix my posture by standing up straight?”
The game is a clever delivery mechanism — it gets the hosts on record about clinical pet peeves while technically being a bit. Jason introduced it in the first episode by saying “Thank you, AI, for this.” The loser in the pilot was sentenced to re-listen to the episode at 1x speed. No skipping.
