Don Butzner, LMT
Licensed Massage Therapist & USATF Sports Medicine Team Member
Don Butzner is a licensed massage therapist who built his career from hotel outcall work to the top of track and field — joining the USATF sports medicine team after applying twice, then working major championships before being selected for the 2016 Rio Olympics. He spent that summer as the personal therapist for decathlete Ashton Eaton and heptathlete Brianne Theisen-Eaton, watching Eaton win his second consecutive Olympic gold. He came on the PTCH to explain what elite-level bodywork actually looks like, why making a sprinter too relaxed before a 100-meter race is a career-limiting mistake, and how he learned to stop shaking when the best athletes in the world sat down on his table.
